Smartstak, the multi-award winning division of Loadhog Limited, is the asset management/pooling arm of the company. Operating from The Canal Works, Sheffield, the company has been recognised for Innovation by winning both the Excellence In Business Awards in 2007 and the Prestigious Queen's Awards for Enterprise in 2009.
Smartstak operates the most environmentally friendly wash facilities within the UK. Under ISO 9001:2000, Smartstak operates an integrated H.A.C.C.P. Protocol throughout its operation which is compliant to the requirements of the BRC/IoP Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials. Loadhog and Smartstak operate to the guiding principles of ISO 14001:2004.

In recognition of its achievements, Loadhog has been awarded numerous accolades, The Green Organisation's “Green Apple” Award, The Institute of Packaging's “Starpack” Award, Smart Award 2002, The IGD “Food Industry Award” 2003 and the European Awards for the Environment 2004.
All products and design/development resources are manufactured and situated in Sheffield, UK at The Hog Works — a 15,000 sq ft purpose built factory situated on the River Don — which houses several of the largest injection moulding machines in Europe. Loadhog Ltd was established through parent company Gripple Ltd. Gripple is also based in Sheffield, run out of an award winning converted Gun Works (IMechE, Best Factory in the UK, 2004); Gripple is involved in the design, manufacture and marketing of Gripple wire joiners, tensioners, hangers and rope grips. Gripple have also won two Queen's Awards for Enterprise.
